History

Established in 2008

I come from a family of tea drinkers, British style. As a little girl, I loved to have fancy, frilly tea parties with my friends and family. When I was seven, my mother and I took a class on how to serve a "proper" afternoon tea and ever since then, I fell in love with the art of tea. Tea is the number one consumed beverage (after water) in every country in the world, except in the US. I wondered, why is this? And so began my journey into the world of tea - the experience, the taste, and the joyful benefits. I always knew I wanted to open a tea shop sometime in my life, why not now? And so began TEAGRE. A contemporary approach to an age-old tradition. Tea is not just a beverage, it's a story and I hope to share it's story, one cup at a time.

Meet the Business Owner: Victoria B.

A tea enthusiast practically from birth, I started taking classes and learning about tea as early as seven. My dream has always been to open a tea shop, but what I thought would be a full-time hobby in retirement became a full-time career shortly after college. I graduated from Boston University and embarked on a unfulfilling career in fashion. Rather quickly, I realized that I wanted to do something that gave me creative freedom, rather than stifle my independent spirit. I've always loved tea and designing my own brand of fine, organic, healthful teas was a natural step.
